Ueno-san wa Bukiyou – COMPLETE
Dang. Somehow or other, we got there. All 101 chapters of Ueno-san wa Bukiyou are translated, and the manga is complete. Whew. So, obviously, there’s a good deal to unpack here on the other side of things. I’ll do my best not to forget anything, but forgive me in advance if it’s a little scrambled. It’s bad enough I haven’t posted anything to this blog for over a year to begin with. First order of business, Ueno-san itself. After over a year since the release of the concluding volumes 9 and 10 in May of 2022, I’ve translated every chapter […]

Okay, I totally forgot I had a scanlation blog. I mostly tweet if I have anything to say about manga. Sorry. Let’s see, where do I start? My “little break” in the post-Ueno world has been much longer than I expected. It turns out scanlating manga that isn’t Ueno-san is surprisingly different, and usually more labor-intensive (especially page counts). I do still think of myself as “working on” Karetto, but it’s so much more work than Ueno ever was that every time I think about getting after it, I end up doing something else instead. The fun-to-effort ratio is wacked […]
Read MoreKaretto ch 2, more release downloads, and Ueno Month
Well, couple days ago I finally put out Karetto ch 2… after literally a year of time since ch 1. Glad it’s finally done, but I’m gonna try to do better next time. Chapter 3 won’t come during June, but I’m gonna prioritize it starting in July. As I’ve said a couple times in the past, once volume 1 is over, Karetto will be a lot more manageable, and something I’ll likely be able to release interchanged with Ueno releases. The chapters beginning in volume 2 are only about 12 or so pages. Also, another thing that had slipped my […]

Sounds a little morbid using that title during this pandemic, but oh well. So, yeah. Despite that I’m totally fine so far and astonishingly little about my day to day lifestyle has been changed in the midst of this isolation stuff, my work flow has been totally shot in favor of playing video games all the time. As usual, my original plans didn’t really go as intended, and I didn’t end up finishing Ueno vol 6 before vol 7’s drop, but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Technically, I wanted to put off finishing some of the chapters because I have […]
Read MoreProjects update March 2020
Guess I’ve been forgetting to update this blog. Well, Ueno-san has been going well. I don’t think it’s worth at this point creating downloads for any of the interim chapters in volume 6, as I’m looking to finish the volume before March 27th (when volume 7 drops), despite that I’ll likely have to wait some time to actually acquire raws and begin working on the new chapters. I think having some time with no Ueno hanging over my head would be a good thing, because honestly, I’ve desperately wanted more time to work on other projects, namely Karetto. Everything else […]

Whenever I haven’t updated in a while it makes me wonder if people are getting impatient, lol. I don’t have a schedule for any of this stuff, so sorry if you are in fact feeling impatient. You’re stuck with me until any faster groups decide to pick up any of my projects. Speaking of projects, I’ve picked up a new side project. It’s not an ongoing/serialized manga, but a small collection of pixiv comics instead. They’ve been a lot of fun to TL so far, so I hope people will enjoy them once they’re finished. They also make a nice […]
Read MoreFile Hosting for Releases
In what will probably be the last preparatory post for the creation of this blog, something I’m opening to discussion is whether there is interest in direct downloads for my releases and where I should host them. I’d like to have this figured out relatively quickly, even if the answer is “no” so I can shelve the idea and move on. A good deadline is probably around the end of June, the time of my one-year anniversary. If you as a reader have any input on the matter, please feel free to comment here, reach out to me on MangaDex, […]

Hello, this is Bainhardt. After recalling having once read somewhere that MangaDex offers blog connectivity for all Group Leaders, I decided I would try my hand at running one of my own. I’ve never made a blog using WordPress before nor hosted a blog about scanlation work, but I hope that in time it’ll become second nature to me. The objectives I have for this blog are as follows: to allow for more direct and continued communication between whatever audience there is for my translation projects and myself (the limitations of end-of-chapter credits pages are beginning to show more and […]
