Ueno-san chapter 37 and Ueno Month
Hello, Bainhardt here. Chapter 37 of Ueno-san is live now on MangaDex. You can also download the chapter here. That’s because I’ve created a Graveyard of Airships Mediafire account I hope will serve all of my download-hosting needs. It is currently a free account, but it has plenty of space I think will last me for the immediate future. I have no idea if files are removed after a certain duration, but then, I imagine most downloads occur the same day the chapter goes live anyway, so that won’t be a concern for a while, either. Second, June is basically […]

Oh, I forgot to make this post when it actually went live. As always, hit up MangaDex to read it. Downloads still in progress. imgur didn’t work too well for Karetto, so I’m still weighing my options. After working on Karetto, Ueno-san was easier than ever. Honestly, any time I work on anything else, it seems to make Ueno feel easier by comparison. Love working on Ueno. It can be kind of hard to stop myself from no-life-ing it sometimes, tbh.

After an extended stint in the Graveyard of Airships lab, I’m glad to say chapter 1 of my newest project, Kare to Karetto, is now available. Definitely the largest single undertaking I’ve worked on to date. Without sounding too full of myself, it’s possible I may singlehandedly pull this manga out of relative obscurity. Or maybe no one will like it. You can read the chapter right away on MangaDex (accessible through the Releases page). Additionally, the first trial for downloading releases will be conducted using imgur this time. Album is here. Please feel free to contact me if you […]

As a means of slacking off from actually working, I decided I’d make a post detailing the work that goes into preparing volume 1, chapter 1 of Kare to Karetto. for release. Maybe you’ll find it interesting. Maybe you don’t really care. People seem to enjoy my translation notes, so perhaps other behind-the-scenes type stuff could be enjoyable as well. I’ve never had to do cleaning of this sort before, but it has thankfully become pretty formulaic and easy enough to repeat since I started. It adds on to the time spent working on all of this, sure, but it […]

I just spent hours translating Karetto pages, so I figured I’d cap it off with a little brain-dump here, though it’ll still be some time til the first portion is ready to release. I’m excited, though. The fact that not a single group has touched this manga in something like 8 years is a damn shame, but I hope I can change that. I’ve been having a lot more fun working on this manga than I expected. Something about the comedy in this one clicks with me – it’s a great feeling to piece together enough of the joke to […]

It’s out. Go read it on MangaDex. Although if I’m being honest, most of you reading this probably came here from chapter 35 to begin with. Unfortunately, I won’t have any download links to share alongside releases for a while, so have this transparent Kitanaga-san you can make sit on things.

In what will probably be the last preparatory post for the creation of this blog, something I’m opening to discussion is whether there is interest in direct downloads for my releases and where I should host them. I’d like to have this figured out relatively quickly, even if the answer is “no” so I can shelve the idea and move on. A good deadline is probably around the end of June, the time of my one-year anniversary. If you as a reader have any input on the matter, please feel free to comment here, reach out to me on MangaDex, […]

This post is more or less an excuse to establish all of the manga-specific category filters for this blog, but at the same time there’s no harm in talking about each of them for a bit. I’m never one to hold myself back from running my mouth. Ueno-san wa Bukiyou I was working on chapter 35 earlier tonight; it’ll likely go up tomorrow. Many of the recent chapters have been getting easier, both in terms of the translation work and the cleaning/redrawing difficulty. Chapter 35, like many, did not even have any redrawing required. I still can’t believe how lucky […]

Hello, this is Bainhardt. After recalling having once read somewhere that MangaDex offers blog connectivity for all Group Leaders, I decided I would try my hand at running one of my own. I’ve never made a blog using WordPress before nor hosted a blog about scanlation work, but I hope that in time it’ll become second nature to me. The objectives I have for this blog are as follows: to allow for more direct and continued communication between whatever audience there is for my translation projects and myself (the limitations of end-of-chapter credits pages are beginning to show more and […]
